Our combined experience in the area of therapy, research, sexual health, parenting, media and education has led to insights on how the online environment can impact rangatahi, their wellness, and the need for intervention amongst those vulnerable to sexual offending.

With our combined experience and knowledge, we feel compelled to do something about this.

  • JO ROBERTSON

    Sex Therapist, Sexual Health & Parent Consultant

    Jo is a qualified sex therapist who has completed her Master of Science in Medicine, with a focus on international consumption rates and impacts of porn on adolescents.

    Jo has a private therapeutic practice specialising in problematic sexual behaviours, sexual dysfunction and relationship breakdown.

    She has practiced as a school counsellor, with children and young people presenting with physical and sexual trauma, alongside providing sexual health education to professionals, parents/caregivers, and young people.

    Jo did a TEDx talk in 2019 titled ‘Why we need to talk about porn’ and speaks internationally on youth, sexual culture and media influences.

  • HOLLY BROOKER

    PR Consultant, Parenting Presenter, Writer

    Holly’s background is in education. She was a high-school teacher focussed on Social Sciences and Health Education working in South Auckland.

    Holly works with a nationwide parenting organisation as a content developer, media presenter and facilitator. She is a freelance writer across various print and digital publications. She owns boutique PR and communications consultancy, The Media Project.

    Holly’s undergrad degree was in Sociology and Politics and she has a Grad Dip Education (Secondary). She is currently undertaking her Masters in Public Policy at the University of Auckland to pursue her interest in how policy can better protect children online.



    When Holly was young, a close family member was imprisoned for child sex abuse, which, along with other experiences, has shaped her views around child protection and being a voice for the vulnerable.
